About us

Hearty Mart Supermarket started in February 2004 by Mr. Nadeem Jafri, offering a convenience store at a place and time when no one else would have dared to, has grown into a chain of retail stores operating under the brand name of Hearty Mart. Standing amidst the bigwigs operational in the Indian market, Hearty Mart is a name that is emerging and focusing on the tier 2 and tier 3 Indian cities and making inroads into the rural sector. Availability of disposable income, increased awareness and high usage of mobile phones have upped the desire and ambitions for a better lifestyle in the villages of India too. Tapping this potential market, Hearty Mart inaugurated it’s first franchisee store in Ilol in April 2007 and has 12 successfully running stores to its credit and today franchisees are operating in Dholka, Chhapi, Kosamba, (to name a few) and is looking ahead at expanding this segment. The promoters wish to explore every possible village and encourage the villager to be an entrepreneur and benefit from the brand. Hearty Mart offers four formats of franchising retail options; Mega Mart, Super Store, Mini and Tiny Store. This is a format, targeting introduction of organized retail sector in the smallest rural areas across Gujarat.

Hearty Mart nurtures the relationship and handholds their franchisees through the entire process by providing complete operations, marketing and developmental support, and even educating them on obtaining the best deal from other suppliers. This in turn gives both the parent company and the franchisee a negotiating power and hence the ability to pass on benefits of pricing thus obtained to their customers. Fulfilling this critical role is another pillar of Hearty Mart, Mr. Shabbirali Momin. Associated with the group since the inception of the first Supermarket at Juhapura, he is today a valuable resource and a major contributor to the entire Franchisee program. His ground level work at the first store has made him an invaluable resource to the training program since he delivers first hand experiential knowledge, hands-on tips on several aspects such as purchasing, stocking, displaying merchandise, inventory and negotiations. His exceptional interpersonal skills today helps him to extend the boundaries of his network and develop new vendors, contacts in each area that a store is opened. The never ending fire in the bellies of the Hearty Mart Core Group working towards upliftment of the rural and smaller town population coupled with a belief in maintaining relationships is the driving force that is taking them from strength to strength and will soon see them entering the international trading market too.

FRANCHISEE STRUCTURE & PROCESS

Process for acquiring Hearty Mart Franchise

  • Apply online or send us the duly filled-up application forms at our registered office in Ahmadabad.
  • After the initial screening the shortlisted candidates would be called for a preliminary meeting.
  • After the location and market potential analysis of the concerned village is conducted, the decision of selection of the franchisee would be taken.
  • The franchisee would be required to sign a contract with the franchisor and fulfill the formalities of a deposit and franchisee registration fees.
  • A 15 days training programme would be conducted on different location for the franchisee entrepreneur.
  • The franchisee entrepreneur would then be required to give the Franchisee Development Cell (FDC) of Hearty Mart a detailed presentation on his learning.
  • After the completion of training and a subsequent presentation a final agreement would be signed between Hearty Mart and the franchisee entrepreneur.
  • Under the guidance of Hearty Mart the franchisee would be required to launch its store.

Basic Fulfillments For Franchise

  • The prospective village entrepreneur should have the willingness to follow the process.
  • Should be dedicated and committed for the cause of the growth of the franchisee.
  • Should be ready to manage full time at the store and look after the entire operations of the store viz ordering, inventory management, hiring and training the sales staff, managing payments and the general administration.
  • Basic trade skills and capability to understand retail business.
  • SSC or above as a qualification with a flair for accounting and mathematical practices.
